7 New Members Elected to ESSEC Alumni's Board
ESSEC Alumni's General Assembly opened up 7 positions on the Administration Board. Many thanks to the 11 candidates – and congratulations to those who were elected by the event's attended!
The 7 new members of ESSEC Alumni's Board represent the diversity of ESSEC programmes and have the ideal profiles to help nurture its strategic directions in keeping with the key issues of our times, such as environmental transition, entrepreneurship and internationalisation.
7 committed alumni
Clara Chappaz (E12), Director of La French Tech, has always been actively involved in the ESSEC network; initially as a member of the Student Union Board during her studies, then as Class Officer after graduation. At present, she nurtures numerous projects for ESSEC entrepreneurs, by communicating for the Entrepreneurs’ Club, supporting female entrepreneurs, connecting ESSEC entrepreneurs with engineers, and more. This dedication reflects her own career path, having co-founded the start-up Lullaby in Boston and worked as Chief Business Officer for the unicorn Vestiaire Collective. In addition, she will be sharing the good practices she has had the opportunity of observing with French Tech volunteers and the Harvard chapters, having also passed through this prestigious institution. (See also her interview with ESSEC Alumni here.)
Arnaud Gangloff (E92), CEO and co-founder of Kéa & Partners, is extending his already strong commitment to the school, more specifically through ESSEC-IPC's Companies & Common Good Chair. He wishes to help alumni to trigger and boost economic, environmental and social transition in businesses, and to develop collective awareness and training around these subjects which he has long advocated through his own professional activities. (See also his interview with ESSEC Alumni in French here.)
Pierre-Emmanuel Saint-Esprit (E16), co-founder and Managing Director of Zack, the electronic waste recycling solution, has presided over the Entrepreneurs’ Club for several years, and also manages the Global Circular Economy Chair, which he co-founded. He is hoping to put forward ideas to the Board on impact, the circular economy and responsible entrepreneurship, in addition to attracting distanced graduates back to the Association.
Julien Ohana (BBA 03), founding partner of AlterNego, the consultancy specialised in negotiation and conflict management, and speaker at ESSEC IRÉNÉ, sat on ESSEC Alumni's Board for an initial term in 2010. He has returned to the Board to promote the BBA community and boost its activity, in particular by rallying class officers along the Grande Ecole model.
Monika Moser (IMHI 10), founding partner and COO of Campbell House following a 22-year career in operational hospitality, presides over the IMHI Alumni association (AAIMHI). She works to bring this community closer together with the wider extended family of ESSEC programmes and hopes to organise joint events with ESSEC Alumni clubs with this objective in mind.
Olivier Maréchal (E87), partner and Financial Services Business Consulting Leader at EY Consulting, following positions at Deloitte and Crédit Agricole, has been the president of the Luxembourg Chapter for more than 10 years. Drawing on his experience, his particular wish is to pursue the development of international services, such as career coaching and workshops, inter-school activities, visiting professors and the promotion of the School.
Jacques Bonafé (EXEC M17), Developments Manager at ADP Immobilier, has been re-elected for a second term. During his first term he chaired co-steering committees devoted to ESSEC Alumni property projects. Having contributed to the successful resale of the Rue Cortambert premises, he is actively participating in the search for new Parisian premises for the ESSEC community. His expertise in this area will be an invaluable asset; his previous positions include Technical and Logistics Manager at Foncia, Director of Building at IKEA and Property Manager at Steinhoff France.

How does it work and who does what?
Together, the administrators choose a Committee from among their ranks which, under the direction of the President, steers the Association’s actions. The Board decides on the major strategic directions and proposals of the Committee. More information here.
