Private holiday lets, which exploded with Airbnb, are now the fastest growing tourism industry. But very few players deliver the full value chain, with all of the services available at a hotel.
This is the gap in the market that Emerald is looking to fill. The company signs long-term leases with owners of second homes who rarely use their property, while offering a range of services via an app: concierge, wines and spirits selected by a sommelier, sports and cultural activities... Not to mention the best practices of the hotel industry: multichannel real-time bookings, rates managed according to competition, customer acquisition and retention strategies.
The result? “We have already generated turnover of €1 million and are preparing for a €2 million capital injection to enter new markets”.
