ESSEC Appointments: Adidas, bioMérieux, L’Oréal, Airbus, Nexans, Pompidou and More
Managerial roles in major groups, a school director, a curator at the Centre Pompidou and a bishop! We take a look at some of the recent appointments in the ESSEC network.
Mathieu Sidokpohou (E98) has been appointed Managing Director of Adidas Europe. He has lengthy experience in the management of global companies, as world Vice-President for the vegetable-based dairy products branch of Danone, and Managing Director of Sephora in Singapore, in charge of the brand’s activities in South-East Asia and India. Prior to this most recent appointment, he was Managing Director of Adidas France.
Pierre Boulud (E94) has been appointed Managing Director of bioMérieux, the world leader in in vitro diagnosis since 1963. It has operations in 45 countries and distributions in 160, and boasted a turnover of €3.6bn in 2022. Pierre began with the Boston Consulting Group prior to joining Ipsen, where he spent 15 years in various roles including the general management of Ipsen Spain, Vice-President of Global Marketing and a seat on the executive board. He has been with bioMérieux for 7 seven years, as Director of the Asia-Pacific region and Director of Clinical Operations. He is also a member of the MedTech Europe administration board.
Sébastien Jacob (EXEC MBA 20) has been appointed Managing Director of Arconic, the giant American aluminium component manufacturer with a turnover of $100M. He has spent his entire career in the industrial sector, initially with Alcoa, followed by various production roles at Constellium, before joining Arsonic. Prior to this most recent promotion, he was plant manager in Alsace.
Frédéric Roumegoux (E97) has been appointed Vice President Procurement Strategy & Sustainability at Airbus. He began his career in auditing with Pechiney in Australia, before moving into marketing with Divona – Monaco Telecom. He then joined Airbus, where he has spent 20 years, holding various managerial roles in the finance and procurement departments.
Guillaume Renard (M00) has been appointed Global Chief Financial Officer Data and Analytics of the L'Oréal Group. He began his career with Danone before joining the world leader in cosmetics, initially as a financial auditor, followed by the financial management of brands such as Biotherm and H. Rubinstein International. He then held various roles in the international finance department, notably in the fields of e-commerce, digital and prospects.
Nicolas Erard (E03) has been appointed Chief Financial Officer Industrial Solutions & Projects at Nexans. Apart from his early days as an auditor with Deloitte, he has spent his entire career with this multinational specialist in cable transmission, holding positions such as Vice President Finance Industry & Telecom, Europe Controlling Director and Chief Financial Officer Building & Territories Europe & North America.
Christian Sere-Annichini (E93) has been appointed Managing Director of Leasys France, a company under Stellantis and Crédit Agricole Consumer Finance, which hopes to become the leader of long-term vehicle leasing in Europe. Also a graduate of Arts et Métiers, he worked for the consultancy firm McKinsey & Company and the Business Development department of SFR before being made Director of Development at Vivendi. He went on to hold the positions of Executive Director of Finance & Strategy at SeeTickets and Managing Director of Digitik Group. He then joined PSA Peugeot-Citroën as director of the department responsible for the development and operational management of mobility services. Prior to this latest appointment, he was CEO of Free2Move Lease France.
Géraldine Neyret Gleizes (E06) has been appointed Managing Director of CBO Territoria, a property company which manages more than 3000 ha on Reunion Island. She began her career with Société Générale, and then moved to Unibail-Rodamco, where she rose to the position of Director of Retail Operations France.
Mathilde Tournaux (M11) has been appointed Managing Director of 3F Notre Logis, a key player in social housing in the Aisne, Nord, Pas-de-Calais and Somme areas, and subsidiary of the 3F Group, which manages more than 300,000 social housing units, shelter places and retail outlets. She began her career as technical advisor and chief of staff to the Mayor of Lille, then became head of housing projects with the Nord departmental council. She subsequently moved to the Lens Liévin urban community as Project Director for Urban Renewal. This was followed by a role with Groupe Action Logement, which manages the even distribution of the Employer Contribution to Property Building (PEEC). This contribution is designed to facilitate access to housing in the framework of professional mobility, to build social and intermediate housing in priority areas, and fund public policies for urban renewal and the revival of medium-sized towns.
Sandra Sebbah (E98) has been appointed Director of France Loisirs. She began her career with Unilever and Henkel, prior to joining Prisma Médias, where she rose to the position of Marketing Director. She then moved into the publishing sector, notably working on the Gleeph application strategy for Bayard as Director of Development & Partnerships, and with the Reder Group as Assistant Catalogue Manager.
Marie Cadudal (E99) has been appointed Director of IESA, the international school for culture and art management. Also a graduate of Sciences Po Paris, she began her career as product head with Bayard, followed by head of marketing for the international property fair MIPIM with Reed Midem. She then moved into culture, initially at the helm of the Centre Pompidou sales department, before being made Deputy Director of the culture and tourism unit of Nova Consulting. She also teaches at Paris-Dauphine University.
Alicia Knock (E12) has been appointed curator for contemporary creation and prospecting at the Centre Pompidou, which she joined on graduating. A specialist in African and Central European art and curator of the Albanian pavilion at the Venice Biennale in 2019, she is currently preparing an exhibition on ‘Anti-colonial Paris from the 1940s’.
Olivier de Cagny (E94) has been ordained Bishop of Evreux. A priest in the Paris diocese and holder of a Master’s in Theology of the Liturgy from the Catholic University of Paris, he began his career as curate and then chaplain of Notre-Dame du Saint-Sacrement. He also trained and supervised seminarians in the Paris diocese, for which he was made deputy of priestly and religious vocations. He was then a chaplain in various secondary schools prior to joining the Saint-Louis-en-l’Ile parish as a priest. He taught at Notre-Dame Cathedral School and Faculty (Collège des Bernardins) and took up the position of dean, followed by rector, of the Paris Seminary. Prior to this most recent appointment, he was incumbent canon of the Notre-Dame de Paris chapter.
