ESSEC Appointments: Richemont, Orange, Lazard, Dior, Polytechnique, and More
Leaders of major French and international groups, a senior official in higher education, and a multi-award-winning author! Our round-up of recent appointments within the ESSEC network.
Nicolas Bos (E92) has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Richemont. He joined the Swiss luxury and watchmaking giant at the start of his career, initially with the Cartier Foundation for Contemporary Art in Paris, then with Van Cleef & Arpels, where he rose to the position of President & Chief Executive Officer (and made the cover of Reflets ESSEC Magazine). Over the last 5 years, he has combined this role with the overseeing of Buccellati.
Frédéric Decazy (EXEC M15) has been appointed Deputy CEO of Orange Concessions, the operator responsible for rolling out optic fibre in rural areas, representing some 4.6 million lines by 2026 for more than 6,800 municipalities in metropolitan and overseas France. He has been with the telecom group for 25 years, and previously held positions in data analysis and customer relations before specialising in public initiative networks.
Olivier Chavy (IMHI 88) has been appointed CEO of The Lux Collective, a luxury hotel group based in Singapore with operations in China, the United Arab Emirates, Vietnam, the Maldives and Mauritius, notably. He held his first management positions at Hilton, and was then successively made CEO of Wilson Associates and Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts, prior to taking up the chairmanship of the Travel + Leisure-Panorama group.
Sébastien Vandervannet (E02) has been appointed Chief Operating Officer of the Kereis Group, the European leader in providence and health, managing 16 million contracts and with 1,650 employees. He began his career in consulting with Capgemini Invent before joining Société Générale as a project manager specialised in the transformation of operational models. He subsequently held various management positions at Malakoff Humanis, including Chief of Staff to the Deputy Managing Director, Director of Control and Transformation, and Executive Vice President of customer operations. He was then appointed Chief Operating & Transformation Officer of SCC.
Claire Madoré (M01) has been appointed Managing Director France & Germany of Malteurop, a subsidiary of the Vivescia Industries group and malt production specialist. She began her career with Nestlé, where she spent 13 years in the marketing departments of several brands and subsidiaries, such as Ricoré, Cereal Partners Worldwide, and Maggi. She then moved to Grands Moulins de Paris, where she rose to the position of Director of Marketing, Marketplace, Commercial Hypermarkets & Supermarkets and CSR.
Béatrice Davourie (EXEC MBA 08) has been appointed Legal Affairs Director of the Casino group. She began her career as a lawyer with the PWC network in France, and went on to become Deputy Legal Affairs Director of Capgemini followed by Legal Affairs Director and Secretary to the Board of the Louis Delhaize group.
Jérémie Petit (M05) has been appointed Legal Affairs, Sales, Distribution and Corporate Director of Parfums Christian Dior. He began his career with Kodac, followed by Vinci, prior to joining LVMH, where he specialised in competition law and distribution and worked for an initial period with Parfums Christian Dior. He then moved to Bose, where he rose to the position of Assistant General Counsel Europe & APAC.
Peterson Sylvain (ISFOGEP 05) has been appointed Human Resources Vice President People Development of Naval Group, which designs and integrates armed vessels and combat systems for more than 50 naval forces worldwide. He has spent his entire career in human resources with major companies in various sectors: pharmaceuticals with Baxter International; banking with BNP Paribas in New York and Hong Kong; services with G7 Taxis, where he also oversaw in-house communication, and automotive supply manufacture with Faurecia, where he took over HR management of the hydrogen division and R&D centre. He joined Naval Group more than 3 years ago, initially on the manufacturing site of the Toulon naval base, one of the largest in Europe.
Laurène Blot (M06) has been appointed Tax Director of the Fives industrial group, which boasts a turnover exceeding €2 billion and operations in around 30 countries. She began her career in consulting with Deloitte prior to becoming Tax Manager for Sagemcom and then Air Liquide. She subsequently joined Safran as a senior tax advisor, before rising to the position of Tax Director at Showroom Privé.
Jean-Marie Combes (M02) has been appointed Managing Director of Lazard Frères Gestion. He began his career in private banking with CDC IXIS Private Capital Management and held similar roles at Rothschild. He has been with Lazard Frères Gestion for 13 years.
Éric Sieberath (EXEC PROG 12) has been appointed Principal Private Secretary to the Director General and Acting President of École Polytechnique. He began his career as Deputy Head with the Cultural Action & Cooperation department of the French Embassy in the United Arab Emirates, before holding the successive roles of Communication Director and Chief of Staff to the Mayor of Gif-sur-Yvette. He was then appointed Deputy Chief of Staff to the Community of the Plateau de Saclay Conurbation, in charge of digital technology and the smart city, followed by the Paris-Saclay Community in charge of communication and digital, and lastly the Essone Departmental Council in charge of digital, innovation, mobility and economic attractiveness.
Camille de Peretti (E03) has been awarded the Maison de la Presse Prize, the Prix des Romancières novelists’ prize and Marie-Claire Best Novel prize for her latest work, L’inconnue du portrait, published by Calmann-Lévy and having sold 30,000 copies to date. This is one of the most successful works by the author, who has written some ten books of highly diverse genres, including autofiction with Thornytorinx, epistolary fiction with Nous sommes cruels, Oulipo with Nous vieillirons ensemble, biography with La Casati, beatnik with Petits arrangements avec nos cœurs, and the historical novel Le Sang des Mirabelles.
