Meet the new leaders of our clubs and chapters

More than 125 clubs and chapters all over the world are run by around 600 ESSEC Alumni volunteers. Meet the new leaders who recently joined this vast community!

Professional Clubs

Isabelle Daubié (EXEC M21) takes over from Stéphane Chirié (E98) as head of the Travel Club. After 20 years in customer relations with Club Med, ADP Group and Air France, she worked for 10 years in HR and training – first in a start-up, then a large international group and finally a public-interest foundation. Today, she is Chief of Staff at the agency Ici et Demain, experts in CSR strategy and reporting. She is also a thesis supervisor and ambassador for ESSEC Executive Education.

International Chapters

Nikolay Ovchinnikov (M14) has been appointed President of the Germany Chapter – Munich. For the past 10 years, he has worked for LaSalle Investment Management, where he is currently Senior Asset Manager. 

Rostand Tchouatat (EXEC M17) has been appointed President of the Cameroon Chapter. Also a graduate of École Polytechnique, Arts et Métiers and the Sorbonne, he first worked his way up to a managerial position in a company in the building and construction sector before becoming an independent consultant, helping to structure and search for funding for projects in Africa. He is currently Secretary General of Activa Finances and Chairman of MTS. 

Chetan Sharma (E09) has been appointed President of the India Chapter. With notable experience in banking, hospitality, information technology and philanthropy, he is currently at the head of BBRS, which offers responsible business solutions for import-export, industry, warehouse storage, renewable energy and organic farming. 

Alleena Abdullah (IMHI 05) has been appointed President of the Malaysia Chapter. After working for eight years at Nestlé followed by three years as Director of Operations on an organic farm, she launched her own marketing consultancy business specialised in sustainable food. She also writes articles about chefs and gastronomic reviews for The Star

Nizar Abdallaoui Maane (E13) takes over from Mamoun Guedira (E10) as President of the Morocco Chapter. After working in consulting at BNP Paribas, he created the start-up Kifal Auto, a trusted partner for individuals and companies in the sale and purchase of used cars. The company recently merged with the Autochek Africa group, where he was appointed Senior Vice President for French-speaking Africa. He is based in Casablanca.

Regional Clubs

Luc Jeanneney (E92) has been appointed Head of the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté Club. After 30 years in supply and purchasing at PSA Group and then Lafarge, he recently branched off into crisis management and mediation consulting, first with Concertatio and then AltoFact, where he currently works. He is based in Dijon. 

Karine Lecomte (E99) and Valérie Lallement (M99) have been appointed Co-Heads of the Champagne-Ardenne Club. The former spent 20 years in marketing for various brands and large groups including Unilever, Mars Petcare and Sushi Shop, before launching Amalthée, a consulting firm that accompanies managers in the sustainable transformation of their company. The latter is self-employed as a coach while maintaining her practice as a visual artist, after working on several entrepreneurial projects. They are both based in Reims. A re-launch evening was held on 28th March.

Leisure Clubs

Haude Le Roux (E22), Constance Rémy (E22) and Léo Panico-Djoued (E21) have been appointed Co-Heads of the new Contemporary Art Club. With Magda Danysz (E98), the two women jointly founded Artransfer, a platform for the re-sale and exchange of contemporary art works between individuals (see our article in French), while Léo launched Jeunes Critiques d’Art, an online review dedicated to art news.

Yoann Sioncke (EXEC M23) has been appointed Head of the Cinema Club. A cinephile in his spare time, he currently works as Tax Manager within the Sofrecom Group, a subsidiary of Orange.
