Olivier Cantet (E87) is elected President of ESSEC Alumni!
Mathieu Quéré (E98) announced his resignation for personal reasons on February the 14th 2019, and ensured the transition until the election of his successor. Yesterday, ESSEC Alumni's Board of Directors unanimously appointed Olivier Cantet (E87) as new President of the Association.
Olivier Cantet has worked for several years in the sports business (VP EMEA of Oakley, CEO of Rip Curl Group, General Manager of Millet Lafuma Group). He is currently CEO of Private Sport Shop, an online-store specialised in sport equipment.
He has been a member of ESSEC Alumni's Board of Directors since May 2018. He created the Communication Club within the Association. He participated in Lyon and Bordeaux Clubs and is now a mentor for the ESSEC Women Alumni Club. As a student at ESSEC, he was Vice-President of the Junior Entreprise and committed with several sports associations (joining ESSEC Rugby Team, creating a climbing association).
“I am very happy to see Olivier take the presidency of our Association, where he will bring his vision, his experience and his motivation, particularly in the area of client service. I am delighted to having contributed to the great ESSEC Alumni adventure, and particularly to the nomination of Mr. Pierre-André de Chalendar (E79) as President of ESSEC Business School's Board of Overseers. I wish Olivier the very best for his new position, and I am convinced that he will keep up with the digital transformation of our association, thanks to his strong experience in that field” Mathieu Quéré declared.
“It is a chance as well as a great pleasure to become President as such an important moment for ESSEC Alumni. The association enters a new stage along with the school, thanks to lifelong membership that was implemented by our General Manager Stéphanie Jossermoz (E94). With the Board of Directors and the Executive Board, Mathieur Quéré identified the priorities that we need to successfully implement: Entrepreneurship, International, Services (to students and alumni), Digital and Real estate. I will be specifically committed to sustain all collaborative projects bringing together executive teams of the Association with expert alumni. We have an endless pool of collective intelligence in our network. This surely is worth exploring new forms of co-development and digital tools' Olivier Cantet declared.
