In the immediate aftermath of the first bombings, ESSEC Alumni's international department contacted alumni in Ukraine and launched a major solidarity campaign for Ukrainian refugees.
3 objectives for "Mission Ukraine" :
Enlighten and inform | Keep up the mobilisation | Act together |
the community about the humanitarian crisis | to collect donations (UNHCR, Ochmadyt hospital) | to support victims in the short and medium term, setting up aid for alumni and their families |
Keep up the mobilisation to collect donations with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR)
Joined by the HEC and ESCP alumni associations and thanks to your generosity, the mission raised over €200,000 in donations (with ESSEC doubling its contribution to €50,000). This enabled the rapid and safe evacuation of Ukrainian refugees, the majority of whom were women and children.
