Speaking-agency: From Babysitting to Baby Speaking

With their start-up Speaking-agency, Antoine Gentil (C08) and his business partner Julien Viaud are revolutionizing childcare.

The two entrepreneurs offer out-of-school childcare services (“babyspeaking”) provided by qualified staff who are either native speakers or bilingual in the required language. Children learn English, Spanish, Chinese or Russian in a fun way, thanks to play-centered activities developed with the input of experts in the language of acquisition.

Speaking-agency also offers language classes for children, teenagers, students and adults. Teachers help the students improve their knowledge of the language, teaching them how to express themselves and develop their conversational skills.

The innovative technology has enabled Speaking-agency to become the leader in France in foreign language childcare. Based in several cities (Paris, Nantes, Lille, Bordeaux, Toulouse and Lyon), the company recruits some 1,500 people each year as babysitters or language teachers. Every week its Speakers look after nearly 1,500 children and teach more than 2,000 language students.
