The Choiseul Institute has unveiled its 2022 list of the 100 African business leaders of the future. 5 alumni feature in the ranking.

The Choiseul 100 Africa ranking showcases and facilitates networking for company leaders under the age of 40, who, thanks to their activity and expertise, currently play, or are poised to play, a key role in the development of the African continent. This year, the winners include 5 ESSEC alumni!

Mohamed Intidam (EXEC M12) is Strategy and Development Director of agro-food group Koutoubia Holding in Morocco. He began his career in France as industrial project manager with the La Poste group. He was then appointed Managing Partner of the consultancy AOB Group, a position he held between Paris and Casablanca. He moved to Autoroutes du Maroc in Rabat, where he successively held the positions of Director of Procurement, Strategic Markets and Business, and Director of Public-Private Partnerships. 

Elhadji Mamadou Seck (EXEC M19) is CEO Mali with the Vicat group, a French cement manufacturer operating in 11 countries and with more than 7,000 employees. Prior to moving into the African markets, he worked in accounting and financial audit in France, for Orano (ex-Areva) and then ArcelorMittal. 

Seynabou Dieng (EXEC M18) founded Maya, a sauce brand and social enterprise which supports agricultural production and women’s employment in Mali. Also a graduate of INSEAD, she began her career in pharmaceutical marketing in Dakar and Senegal, before moving to France to take up a position with Philips. She returned to her native country to take part in the KJK Mali project with the Johns Hopkins University Center for Communication Programs (CCP), backed by Palladium and MSH and which promotes the switch to healthy and sustainable habits and consumption. She was then appointed Associate Managing Director of Diden Consulting, which provides training and support for SMEs in Bamako. See also her interview on our website (in French).

Kenza Lahlou (M12) co-founded Outlierz Ventures, a venture capital investment fund based in Morocco and geared towards African start-ups at the Seed and Pre-Series A stage. Her career began in France with Xerox. Following a period in Singapore, she joined Attijariwafa Bank in Casablanca as a financial analyst, before moving to San Francisco to look after business development for Avise Partners. She then returned to Morocco definitively to take up the position of African Partnerships Manager for Viadeo. Lastly, she co-founded StartupYourLife, an ecosystem of local entrepreneurs. Mohamed Touré (M12) is Regional General Manager for West Africa at Sqorus, a consultancy firm specialised in digital services. He began his career in consultancy with a Paris-based firm, before returning to the Ivory Coast to develop the activities of EY and then Deloitte, as head of the technological and digital transformation unit.
