Discover the New Heads of Our Clubs and Chapters

Some 600 ESSEC Alumni volunteers run more than 125 clubs and chapters around the world. Discover the new heads who have recently joined this vast and active ESSEC community!

Regional clubs

Thierry Cyrille (EXEC M15) takes over from Thierry Joachim (EXEC M14) as administrator of the Martinique Club. Head of property operations for EPFL Martinique, he has been working in the property sector for 15 years with building project developers. The Club’s team also includes Manuel Laudarin (EXEC M15), Célia Thegat (EXEC M12) and Marie Julan (EXEC M14). 

Yassine Zakaria (EXEC PROG 20) and Emilie Chartier (EXEC PROG 22) take over from Jean-Pierre Rozier (E69) at the helm of the  Languedoc-Roussillon Club. Yassine is a cybersecurity and cyber-protection manager with Dedalus, and began specialising in the management and protection of information systems some 12 years ago. Emilie is Deputy Regional Director of the Aesio Santé group, which manages a network of nursing homes, employment assistance centres, crèches, consultancies and other healthcare establishments. She previously worked in social welfare and solidarity in the Rhône-Alpes area. Jean-Louis Repetto (E89) is also a member of the Club’s team.

Chapters

Ghislaine Jan (E10) has been appointed President of the Belgium Chapter. She is the Administrative and Financial Director at SBMS (Savencia food group), following positions with EY and AXA. The Chapter’s team also includes Sarah Godard (E99), Menno Nijdam (EXEC MBA 19) and Aurélien de Saint Blancard (E13).

Katharina Gortat (BBA 17) has been appointed President of the Germany - Cologne/Düsseldorf Chapter. Following positions as Assistant IT Manager with Delivery and Managing Director of the events company Summerrockz in Barcelona, this French-German national co-founded the start-up Leaders Dock, which specialises in management consulting and executive coaching. She is also involved in the Düsseldorf RotarAct. Velat Üzer (BBA 22) is also a member of the Chapter team.

Florent Plozner (BBA 06) has been appointed President of the Germany - Frankfurt Chapter. Following positions with Valeo and Crown Cork & Seal, he is currently both a financial auditor with the Tarkett group and Prokurist (or Managing Director) of Morton Extrusionstechnik GmbH with the Tarkett Sports division. The Chapter’s team also includes Nicolas Didelot (E97) and Laurent Bonnaud (E89).

Fabienne Fourquet (E99) has been appointed President of the Spain Chapter. She developed digital content for A+E Networks, a subsidiary of Hearst Corporation and Disney, followed by Canal+ France, prior to co-founding 2btube, which is currently one of Spain’s leading digital marketing, influencer management and content production agencies. She is also a member of the non-profit organisation French Founders and the IWF (The International Women's Forum), as well as a mentor at ESSEC. The Chapter’s team also includes Marion Prince (E02), Barbara Loyer (BBA 98) and Yazid Kailali (E09).

Camille Barratin (E22) takes over from Padraig Berry (IMHI 83) as President of the Ireland Chapter. She moved to Dublin to join the medical biology group Eurofins as Junior Communications Associate. Harshit Agrawal (E21) is also a member of the Chapter team.

Anca Birda (M04) has been appointed President of the Romania Chapter. Following previous positions in the property, IT and finance sectors, she is currently a Project Development Manager for Phoenix Energy, a Bucharest-based company specialised in renewable power. She also founded the NGO Asociatia Industria Binelui, which works with deprived children and fights against school drop-out.

Ghadi Hobeika (E06) has been appointed President of the USA - Los Angeles Chapter. Following positions with Bain & Company and Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield, he is currently US Managing Partner at Artefact, a data and marketing services provider with 25 offices in 20 countries and key accounts such as Samsung, L'Oréal and LVMH.

Vincent Toesca (E99) has been appointed President of the USA - San Francisco Chapter. With 20 years’ experience in product development for SaaS companies, including Adobe, he is currently Senior Vice President of Products for the cloud platform Coupa Software.

Youssef Hadine (M09) has been appointed President of the Thailand Chapter. Following roles in retail project management with the LVMH group (Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior), strategic consulting with Simon Kucher & Partners, and finance with the IT leader B2B Arrow Electronics, he is currently Financial Director for the Asia-Pacific region with Precision Valve Corporation, an American packaging manufacturer.

Thomas Sommer (E10) has been appointed President of the South Korea Chapter. Following roles in marketing in the UK and Germany, and an initial entrepreneurial venture with the art photo e-shop Flying Snaps, he co-founded SG Entertainment, a production company specialised in K-pop. The Chapter’s team also includes Sooyoun Chang (E04) and Cécile Kwak (E05).

Rouda El Sahili (M10) has been appointed President of the Senegal Chapter. He is Managing Director of IBS (Industrie des Boissons du Sénégal), the local bottler of Coca-Cola, Orangina, Sprite and its own brands, and is also an administrator for various companies.
