GENERAL MEETING ESSEC ALUMNI

JUNE 19, 2024

The mixed General Meeting of ESSEC Alumni took place on Wednesday, June 19, 2024. It brought together more than 130 people at the Institut Catholique de Paris, as well as online thanks to our live broadcast.

Since the quorum was not reached during the extraordinary General Assembly on May 17, 2024, it was reconvened at the same time as the annual ordinary General Assembly.

Highlights of the extraordinary General Assembly

The Assembly voted on the new Statutes and the new Internal Regulations of the Association.

The main objectives of these changes are as follows:

 To comply with the name change of the Association, which becomes ESSEC Alumni;

 To change the membership fee model (annual fee and one-time lifetime membership fee);

 To update and simplify, ensuring their compliance with the standard Public Utility Recognized (RUP) statutes and Internal Regulations in their version updated by the Council of State;

 To allow students, who have been members since the first day of their studies, to vote in the General Assembly;

 To allow remote voting and virtual General Assembly meetings;

 To give the Nominations Committee a statutory role;

 To give the Ethics Committee a statutory role.

Boosting the commitment to gender equality

ESSEC Alumni is proud to have signed the “Charte Mixité de Grandes Écoles au Féminin” gender diversity charter and to have made three commitments:

  • Mixed governance
  • Actions to raise awareness of stereutypes and unconscious cognitive biases
  • Mixed panels and speakers at our events.
