Under his leadership, IHCL expanded from managing traditional luxury hotels to encompassing a broad spectrum of offerings, including the iconic Taj Hotels. Having completed a Bachelor's Degree at the University of Delhi and a diploma in Food Service and Hotel Management, Chhatwal started his career with the India Tourism Development Corporation. After several operational positions in India, he studied at ESSEC Business School (IMHI) and graduated in1991. Puneet is President of Honor of our Alumni Association (AAIMHI).

Puneet Chhatwal, CEO and MD of IHCL since 2017, has led transformative initiatives for the company’s growth and diversification. Under his leadership, IHCL expanded from managing traditional luxury hotels to encompassing a broad spectrum of offerings, including the iconic Taj Hotels.
