Alexia Cordier (E13) and Clément Lavollé are seeking €700k for Fifty, an online training tool based on the principles of nudge theory that offers modules setting out themed actions for work situations to help people move forwards in their careers.
Jean Baptiste Diebold (E03), Benjamin Laible and Florent Jonville are looking for €300k for Ginkio, a portfolio creation and sharing service aimed at media professionals, which is designed to help them showcase their work and discover the work of others.
Dorian Perron (E17) and Romain Palmieri (E17) are looking for €600k for Groover, a platform through which artists can directly send their music to the media, playlists and labels, with guaranteed feedback. The fundraising round is designed to fund work to perfect the startup’s matching algorithms as well as to develop its marketing.
François Jacob (M10), Clément Bénard and Charles Bénard are seeking €4 million to accelerate the commercial development of Hiboo, which designs and markets smart sensors that locate, control and supervise industrial assets (road vehicles, site vehicles, containers, etc.).
Mathilde Le Roy (E99) is looking for €3 million for Kazoart, an online art sales platform, to expand internationally and to launch an art leasing offering aimed at businesses.
Valérie Brouchoud (G17) and Guillaume Soubrier are looking for €1.2 million to support the commercial and technical development of YooMum, an app that puts mums-to-be and new mothers in touch with each other to swap tips and tricks.
Being included in Challenges magazine’s list of the top 100 startups to invest in is generally a good sign for the entrepreneurs involved. Just take a look at some of the successes racked up by ESSEC alumni from last year’s list: Geokaps, founded by Hélène Lucien (M11), has raised €350,000 and doubled its turnover; Phénix, created by Jean Moreau (E07), has raised €15 million and won a number of awards, gradually establishing itself as the leading player in the circular economy in France; and Drive or Phone, launched by Maxime Manseau (M14), has raised €600,000 and is preparing to begin operating in the United States.
