ESSEC Alumni regularly calls on graduates to support, guide and assist students. Find out how you can get involved and contact us at: alumni-oncampus@essec.edu. Thank you!
Take part in One-to-One Meetings
In the words of one of our graduates in 2022, ‘it’s more effective than a LinkedIn contact, more personalised than a round table, easier for everyone… and it strengthens the ESSEC network.’ The One-to-One Meetings are 30-minute online flash mentoring sessions with a student, to simulate an interview or offer advice on a career project. The next session will be in January 2024.

Become a mentor
Gain more insight into the new generation to facilitate their onboarding in an organisation; create a close relationship with a young person to enrich your managerial role; take stock of your own career and share your experience, and above all, gain satisfaction from helping to reveal students’ potential. There are lots of good reasons to join the Mentoring by ESSEC programme, co-steered by ESSEC and ESSEC Alumni! Allow for 3 or 4 discussion sessions, in person or online, over a 6-month period. Pairings are formed annually from November to the end of March, according to the match between your career and the mentee’s project.

Take part in the Meet & Discuss and Alumni Talks
Often the best way to inspire students, help them find their way and teach them how to reach their goals is to share your own story. The Meet & Discuss sessions are focused on international careers: each 1-hour session brings together several graduates from the same part of the world to share their experience of local working life. The Alumni Talks focus on a sector and/or profession. These 1-hour sessions present just one alumni who discusses their business sector. In both cases, each session is followed by Q&A time.

Become a referent for an apprentice
Each year, around 1,000 ESSEC students opt for an apprenticeship programme, and the School looks for as many referents to guide them individually. The aim is to ensure a smooth experience for students and validate their acquired skills with at least 3 meetings in 2 years.

Take part in the Going Pro experience
Each year, every 1st year student in the Grande Ecole programme ‘shadows’ a manager in their daily tasks for 4 to 5 days in November. The students must look for their manager, so take note now to keep an eye on your messages as of September...and agree to take a student under your wing!
Be a guest lecturer
ESSEC regularly calls on graduates to speak periodically to a class, either to tell their career story, or share their expertise in a given area. Don’t hesitate to volunteer! Simply complete the questionnaire on your professional experience and the School will get in touch if your profile matches our teachers’ needs.

Join an admission jury panel
Every year between late March and the end of June, you can offer your services for a half or full day, as a member of the admission panel to ESSEC’s programmes (Grande École, Global BBA, Masters, etc.). You can participate online or in person (Cergy), in French or in English.
