Good evening!
I am Monika Moser, IMHI 2010, and President of the Alumni Association - Welcome to our 40th Anniversary!
Welcome Vincenzo Vinzi, Dean & President of ESSEC Business School
Thank you to our great Sponsors for their incredible support to make this evening happen.
I would like to thank our volunteering current students Isabella, Jules, Solene, Dana, Lea, PierreYves, Eva, Paola, Camille and Olga for helping us tonight - and thank you to our alumni Soazig, Clemence, Guillaume and Kelly for their support throughout the organization.
And I would like to particularly thank my fellow board members for the perfect organization of this event and for bringing together over 300 guests tonight: Celine, Johanna, Alexandra, Axelle, Sebastien, Cyril, Antoine and Jeremie!
Not to forget our Member of Honor Joelle!
…
We are honored of the presence tonight of our past Association Presidents Thierry Loué, Bernard Collaudin and Franck Point & remember Charles Luthi who is no longer with us.
In 1981 Dominique Xardel, former IMHI Director and Associate Dean for international affairs at ESSEC, Dean Robert Beck, former Dean of Cornell School of Hotel Administration, and Serge Perrot, founded IMHI as Europe’s leading MBA in International Hospitality Management, in a partnership with Cornell School of Hotel Administration, a connection that lasted until last class of 2006.
Paul Beals took the reins from Bob Beck in the second year and served as Director for many years wanted to join us today, but unfortunately was unable to travel. He registered a small video for us that we have shared online.
We remember our past IMHI Directors Richard Edelstein and Peter O’Connor who could not be with us today and welcome our past IMHI Directors who are present today: Gerard Guibilato, Michael Nowlis, Bernard Levy Provençal, Jeanine Picard and Patti Brown.
Welcome as well to Carlos Ramirez, the academic Director of IMHI today.
Representing IMHI and to introduce you to our new partnership with Boston University, I would like to ask Kentia Boulay, Director Full time Post Experience Programs, and Leora Lanz, Assistant Dean School of Hospitality of the Boston University, to say a few words.
Thank you to you both.
As Paul Beals mentioned in his video, hospitality is about caring for others, service to others, and our alumni association will strive to keep this spirit alive by bringing alumni and students together and promoting our beautiful industry.
We have edited for our alumni a beautiful souvenir book that you will receive when leaving tonight.
Class of 1983, raise your hands!
Incoming alumni, IMHI class of 2023, where are you!?
