'Les deux gourmands' means the two gourmands - a name that fits well Louis Bataille (M12) and Guillaume Caffin (C11), who created the first food brand from Paris and its greater area.
On one side, the terroirs in the Ile-de-France Region (which is 75% agricultural land and forests) are filled with unsuspected treasures. On the other side, consumers want to buy more local products.
Hence a simple idea: why not gather the best ingredients of the Paris area to make biscuits? Les deux gourmands collect poppies from Nemours, saffron from the Gatinais, chestnut honey from the Dourdonnais, spelt flour from the Mantois, or chocolate from Le Pecq – 'all kneaded and cut by hand, on our farm in the heart of the Yvelines, and then controlled one by one before packing'.
Les deux gourmands are available in about 100 stores, including all the Monoprix shops.
