Meet Our New ESSEC Alumni Chapter Presidents

Did you know? ESSEC Alumni coordinates nearly 90 chapters spanning 5 continents. Here’s a snapshot of the new volunteer presidents in our global network

Ria de Borja (MBA 09) is now the president of our Philippines Chapter. Born in the Philippines, she began her career as a journalist specialising in the luxury industry at Louis Vuitton in Paris, before returning to her homeland to head up RDB Media, a copywriting and content marketing agency. Frédéric Lamy (M11) is now president of our Romania Chapter, supported by Anca Birda (M04). With a career spanning auditing at Arthur Andersen, finance at Compaq, and sales at Dyson and Fnac-Darty, he moved to Bucharest to take up a position as general manager at the local subsidiary of Leroy Merlin. He is also an international trade advisor and member of the board of directors at the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Romania, and president of the French high school in Bucharest. Clémence Bourgeois (E18) was appointed president of our Stuttgart Chapter. Graduating from a double degree at ESSEC-Mannheim and serving as the e-Mobility Chair and president of the charity Race, she is currently working at Robert Bosch on their Junior Managers Program, specialising in smart mobility. Hélène Bardy Puzin (E95) was appointed president of the Düsseldorf-Cologne Chapter. Holding a double degree from ESSEC-Mannheim, she has worked in a number of marketing roles at L’Oréal, Galeries Lafayette and E. Leclerc. In January 2019, she was appointed Director Selling Germany & Store Strategy Europe at C&A, where she had previously worked as Head of Region & Retail Marketing France since 2018. David Benoliel (E03) is the new president of the Israel Chapter. Living in the country for the past 14 years, he is Head Of Business Development at Cap Retraite, the marketplace for the senior housing market. He has previously worked in strategic consulting, and launched a capital introduction firm. Contact: cdnbeno@gmail.com 

Jeanne Pais (BBA 19) was appointed president of our Portugal Chapter. Holding dual French and Portuguese nationality, she moved to Porto for an internship at a consulting firm, followed by a Masters in Management at Nova School of Business and Economics. Contact: jeannemarie.pais@gmail.com 

Frederic O’Leary (E85) is now president of our Taiwan Chapter. His past roles include assistant to a member of parliament in Japan, before founding Solear International in Hong Kong and its spin-off in Taiwan, Solear Taiwan Ltd., which serves as a sales agent in the agri-food industry and a consultant for French SME operating in the country. Philippe Dariel (E18) was appointed president of our Mauritius Chapter. An expert in training and crisis management, he has now been working in the education sector for a number of years. His achievements include opening a school deep in the Amazonian rainforest, managing the skiing department at the Lycée des Métiers de la Montagne en Savoir vocational high school for careers in the mountains, and running a number of teaching establishments, including the prestigious Pondichery French School in India, a vocational high school for the digital industry in France, and a high school belonging to the Agency for French Education Abroad. He is currently the headmaster of Mascareignes highs school in Mauritius, while also working to develop international trades and innovative systems for high level sport. Giuseppe Graziano (E20) is now president of our Ukraine Chapter. Also a graduate of Bocconi University in Milan and EGADE Business School in Mexico, he is a partner and shareholder in Chimplie, a start-up based in Kiev that helps businesses grow their digital potential. A multilingual globetrotter, he has also lived in London, Berlin, Nairobi, Lagos, and Casablanca, and does a lot of work to promote diversity in the broadest sense of the word.
