In this book, I share a simple roadmap to put into practice insights and tools that I have compiled over 20 years of experience in the service industry in order to improve your performance at work.”

A coach and mentor at ESSEC Alumni, the author breaks down his strategic thinking into a 7-step approach that can be immediately applied in any area of business.

Part I of the book details what the 7 steps are. “They are very similar to what one goes through when preparing for a trek in nature. This metaphor makes sense to me, not only because I love to walk in the wilderness, but because your career is a journey in itself.”

Part II brings your attention to sign posts you need to keep in mind in order to make the 7-step approach work. “This is the ointment that makes the machine run smoother.

Part III is organized as a workbook that gives the gist of each chapter’s tools, as well as easy-to-fill-in sheets that help you put in practice what you have been reading. Also listed are the self-assessments and other references.

I genuinely believe that if everyone were to take something from this formula, there would be more people living a peaceful, fruitful life, inspiring to their teams and colleagues, while doing profitable business. Because everything starts with the employee, everything starts with you.

Although the primary audience of this book is the employees on the lower rungs of the organization, it may appeal to anyone interested in understanding how people behave and how to deal with them in a more efficient way. “Enjoy the ride!
